It is also incumbent on the government and military, which includes a couple of very senior members who hold American Citizenship and passports, to ensure the safety of the civilian population. All Tamils are not Tigers. Say it again, all Tamils are not Tigers. It's a simple as that. And one would think the Buddhist foundations of the Sri Lankan majority would be a source of restraint and compassion at a time like this. Evidently not.
